RHSC Welcomes New Board Members

Rochester Hearing & Speech Center is excited to welcome four new members to its Board of Directors for 2025.


Daniel J. Connolly, Ph.D. is the dean of the School of Business at St. John Fisher University and a recognized global thought leader in the area of hospitality information technology. Prior to joining St. John Fisher University, Dr. Connolly spent nearly eight years working at Marriott International's corporate headquarters in Washington, DC as an information systems analyst. He has also consulted with numerous organizations in the hospitality, health care and technology sectors and has more than ten years of experience in hotel and restaurant operations. Actively engaged in community service, Dr. Connolly's board positions include Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York, the Small Business Council of Rochester, Elevate Rochester, and the Finger Lakes Community College Business Administration Advisory Board.

Paul D'Aiutolo is the Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services, where he has been for 25 of his 32 years in the financial services industry. Mr. D'Aiutolo acts as an investment fiduciary to ERISA retirement plans and institutionally directed pools of assets. He and his team currently provide services to a diverse set of over 115 clients representing 65,000 working Americans. Some of his current accolades and responsibilities include Board Member at the National Retirement Association, Past President at the National Association of Plan Advisors, Forbes America's Best in State Wealth Advisors 2021-2025, and PLANADVISER Top Retirement Plan Advisors 2018-2025. He currently volunteers on the Heritage Christian Services Foundation and Golf Committees and has volunteered for Junior Achievement.

Paul D'Aiutolo, CRPS® CPFA®

William A. Johnson, Jr. relocated to Rochester, New York in 1972 to become the CEO of the Urban League of Rochester. During his 21-year career with the Urban League of Rochester, he recruited highly trained and experienced staff and an influential board of directors. Working together, they created many impactful programs that changed the life outcomes for thousands of individuals and families, youth and adults. Four of these programs are still in existence after more than 40 years. In November of 1993, Mr. Johnson was elected the 64th Mayor of Rochester, becoming the first National Urban League CEO ever to be elected Mayor of his city and the first African American mayor of any major NY city other than New York City. After being elected to three, four-year terms, he retired in 2005. From 2006-2013, he was the Distinguished Professor of Public Policy at RIT and served as an adjunct professor at St. John Fisher College in the Executive Leadership Program.

Michael Mendoza, M.D., MPH, MS is currently Chief Operating Officer and a Senior Vice President at Trillium Health, and Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Mendoza most recently served as the 9th Commissioner of Public Health for Monroe County, where he supervised the development, implementation and evaluation of a diverse array of health promotion and disease preparedness efforts. As a board-certified family physician, he has worked as a primary care physician for over 20 years, currently seeing pediatric and adult patients at Highland Family Medicine as well as on the inpatient units at Highland Hospital. Dr. Mendoza is a member of the Board of Directors of Willow Domestic Violence Center of Rochester, a member of the combined Board of Common Ground Health and the Greater Rochester Regional Health Information Organization as well as the Inclusion, Diversity, and Outreach Committee of the Board of the George Eastman Museum. In his spare time, he enjoys DJing, having lent his services each year toward the fun and success of RHSC's Ultimate 80s Party.

RHSC's board members help guide our nonprofit agency toward a sustainable and successful future through logical, ethical, and legal management of the work, employees, volunteers, policies, and fundraising. Our Board of Directors serve as leadership for Rochester Hearing & Speech Center and helps to advance our mission as a nonprofit, which is helping individuals of all ages connect and engage through "Communication for Life."
