Dr Sara Calus is the new Director of Educational & Clinical Services here at Rochester Hearing & Speech Center. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Anthropology from the University of Buffalo in 1995 and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy form Slippery Rock University in 1999. DR. Calus has worked as a physical therapist in the Rochester area for the last 25 years and has experience with rehabilitation and home care working with geriatric and pediatric populations. 

 

Dr. Calus provides clinical physical therapy services for children including evaluations, screenings and individual services. She also supervises the clinical staff and works with local universities for clinical student and intern placements. She has worked in our developmental groups for 15 years and strongly believes in a ‘whole child approach’ which encompasses meeting children where they are and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to help children succeed.

 

Outside of RHSC, Dr. Calus enjoys time with her family, reading and LOVES the beach.
