Bob Russell, President & CEO

Bob Russell President & CEO Rochester Hearing & Speech Center

Bob Russell was named President & CEO of RHSC in October 2020. He brings both professional expertise and personal perspective to the role, having experienced hearing and speech challenges as a child. This firsthand understanding fuels his passion for ensuring every client, from newborns to seniors, receives the support they need for Communication for Life.  Bob has extensive leadership experience in the non-profit sector and was unanimously selected by RHSC’s Board of Directors.

During his tenure, he has led key initiatives including the launch of the Free Community Hearing Health Screening Program, RHSC’s 100th Anniversary year-long celebration in 2022, the agency’s rebranding in 2023 and creating signature fundraising events. He was named a Rochester Business Journal Power Player in Health Care in 2024 and 2025. Above all, Bob is most proud of leading a dedicated staff who continually adapt to the evolving needs of our community while delivering the highest level of care to RHSC’s clients each day.

Prior to RHSC, Bob held executive leadership roles with the American Diabetes Association (New York State Executive Director), Gilda’s Club Rochester (President & CEO), The Little Theater Film Society (Executive Director), and Geva Theatre Center (Director of Marketing). Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years in professional sports leadership with the Buffalo Sabres, Rochester Americans, and Rochester Rhinos.
