World Hearing Day | March 3rd “Check Your Hearing!”

World Hearing Day may be for one day, but here at Rochester Hearing and Speech Center we are celebrating all year long encouraging everyone to get their hearing checked. Getting your hearing checked is just as easy as when you get your eyes checked and teeth cleaned.

A normal conversation is about 60 dB, a lawn mower is about 90 dB, and a loud rock concert is about 120 dB. In general, sounds above 85 dB are harmful, depending on how long and how often you are exposed to them and whether or not you wear hearing protection, such as earplugs or earmuffs. The chart below gives you an overview of how loud is too loud!

Our knowledgeable Audiologists can answer all your questions. We have three locations (Brighton, Greece, and Webster) where you can schedule an appointment.
