Christy Post, Director of Development

Christy Post Director of Development

Christy Post joined RHSC as Director of Development in January 2023, bringing with her more than 20 years of nonprofit development and leadership experience.

Christy is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University. Christy moved to Rochester, New York in 2007 and has worked in marketing, communications, and development for a number of agencies, including SUNY Geneseo, the Sisters of Saint Joseph/Nazareth Schools, Villa of Hope, ROCovery Fitness, Sojourner Home, and others. She holds a CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) certification, and is committed to ethical fundraising and donor-centric development.

Christy was drawn to Rochester Hearing & Speech Center for the mission-driven work and strong leadership. “I have always worked in the nonprofit sector and am particularly drawn to agencies and organizations that are truly making a difference in the lives of the people they serve. RHSC is unique in that it provides different services for individuals of all ages, helping children and adults ‘Communicate for Life.’ My son needed speech services as a child, and my father has experienced profound hearing loss, so I understand how important these issues are for good quality of life.”

When she’s not at work Christy is either hanging out with one or both of her two kids, reading, cooking, lifting weights in her basement, or running trails with friends and/or her dog, Chidi. Both Christy and Chidi particularly enjoy running in the snow.
