Dr. Diane Finnerty began working at Rochester Hearing & Speech in August of 2022. Before joining our team, she worked mainly in a medical audiology practice with ENT physicians. She also taught as an adjunct audiology professor at Missouri State and supervised the students in the clinic.  She worked in a deaf school, and owned her own private practice for several years dispensing hearing aids.

She has been an audiologist since 1988. Dr. Finnerty went to Arizona State University for her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and obtained her Master’s Degree from SUNY at Geneseo. She worked for several years, and later obtained her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2001.

Dr. Finnerty is board certified by the American Academy of Audiology and is licensed by the state of New York in both audiology and hearing aid dispensing. She enjoys counseling patients and the teaching/training aspects of dispensing hearing aids. She loves to see her patients reach success with their new technology.

When not working Dr.Finnerty enjoys spending time with her five granddaughters!  She loves to travel the world, but especially to Arizona. She also loves to sew, quilt, paint, and create.  She and her husband like to do volunteer work and raise funds for orphanages in Haiti, India, and Kenya.
