Health Fairs and Community Events

We offer periodic hearing screenings at our sites as well as at health fairs and other community events.

A hearing screening is an abbreviated hearing evaluation. They are designed to be brief and include an immediate discussion of results and recommendations. Note: A hearing screening is an indication of hearing status and should not be used as a substitute for a full hearing evaluation.

  • International Noise Awareness Day - we offer free hearing screenings, informational sessions and hearing protection to the community every year in celebration of the day.
  • Rochester's Annual Family Health and Fitness Fair - sponsored by Senator Jim Alesi - our mobile unit is at the health fair every year in October to provide free hearing screenings and information on hearing loss and hearing aids.
  • Reaching Out For Better Hearing - with the Hearing Loss Association of America, Lifespan, and the Monroe County Office of the Aging.
